Covering the costs of ABA Treatment

Depending on your specific situation, there may be a number of options and resources for you to investigate as you consider the financial impacts of pursuing a treatment program. Below is a top-level overview of some of the most common programs.

Regional Centers

Is your child or adolescent a consumer of the regional center? If so, regional centers fund our services if they are approved as part of the Individual Program Plan (IPP).

School Districts and SELPAs

Does your child have an Individualized Education Program (IEP)? School district services are specified and approved as part of the IEP.

Coverage by Health Plans

We are a provider for most major PPOs and HMOs. The passage of SB 946 means that health plans in California need to cover ABA services if they are prescribed by your treating physician If your employer is self-insured, then you may have an autism benefit that will cover our services.

ERISA or Self-insured employers

This is a partial list of companies that are self-insured and cover ABA treatment for their employees who have family members diagnosed with autism. If your employer is not listed but is self-insured, check with your company’s Human Resources Department. Note that some employers also provide “autism treatment coverage” as an additional benefit to their employees
