Programs
With our integrated ABA therapies, experienced Clinical Teams, and decades of experience to back us up, we know the best techniques and strategies to help your loved one with autism thrive and grow towards the ultimate goal of independence.
Each of the programs at Therapeutic Pathways marries two characteristics — rigorous ABA therapy and compassionate care — to create an all-inclusive method of treatment for children, adolescents, and adults with autism. Our goal is for your child to discover, share, and interact with peers and adults.
This program is designed for children with autism ages 0-3 and helps them develop in the areas of language, behavior, play, self-awareness, and social skills.
Young children who receive intensive ABA therapy are more likely to catch up with their peers than those who do not, so we suggest enrolling your child in this program as soon as they have an autism diagnosis.
Readiness uses an integrated approach to therapy, meaning the fields of speech and language pathology are built into every child’s program in every interaction. Treatment would ideally include 25-35 hours of ABA therapy per week
Designed for children with autism aged 3-7, Foundations helps develop the skills necessary to test in the normal range for self-help and awareness, language, and intellectual ability.
We focus on building foundational skills that will help children with autism throughout their lives, including learning through observation and seeking information.
Foundations typically involves 30-40 hours of therapy per week, focusing on 2-10 individualized goals that are critical to increase independence, participate in family and peer interactions, and reduce problem behaviors, helping children with autism function better at home and at school.
This program is intended for children ages 7-11 who have limited hours for therapy due to school scheduling. Our goal at Therapeutic Pathways is to make high-quality care available to everyone, so we work closely with parents or caregivers to establish a therapy schedule that works for them. Because their children have fewer available hours (usually 10-20 hours per week), parent or caregiver training is crucial to the success of the Breakthroughs program.
During treatment hours, Breakthroughs helps children develop the skills to remove life barriers, helping them feel more accepted by their peers. Children will learn how to interact with classmates, form relationships, and engage in appropriate behavior wherever they go.
Designed for adolescents ages 12-18, Independence develops necessary life skills in individuals with autism who are on the cusp of adulthood.
This program provides focused behavioral intervention for children and teenagers with autism struggling with behavior problems or who are experiencing other setbacks to living an independent life.
Through individual or group ABA treatment and parent or caregiver training, Independence helps develop functional communication and self-help skills, including personal finance and adaptive skills. We provide the resources that will help adolescents with autism enter into adulthood successfully and comfortably.
For children and adolescents aged 5-18, Interactions builds foundational skills for appropriate social functioning. Our goal is to help individuals with autism foster meaningful relationships, respond to situations appropriately, and interact naturally with others.
Therapeutic Pathways promotes growth in these crucial areas through twice-weekly guided social skills groups. Sessions are available in age groupings of 7-10, 11-14, and 15-18.
This program fosters productive interactions and coping abilities for numerous social situations, and parent or caregiver participation is crucial.
Our most age-inclusive program, Strategies helps establish safe behavior in children, adolescents, and adults ages 6-36. This program is specially designed for individuals with severe behavior disorders, including self-injurious and dangerous behaviors.
Once we complete a thorough assessment of the individual’s strengths, weaknesses, and needs, we provide treatment and teach alternative, safer behaviors for various situations.
A crucial element of Strategies is family education and support — we help parents or caregivers maintain treatment plans so the individual has constructive support around the clock.
When your child comes to us for therapy, you can rest assured that they will learn life skills in a safe, respectful environment, and will develop their unique interests through an individualized treatment program unmatched by other autism programs in California.
